On Friday, the day of the vote, the Competitive Enterprise Institute said it was releasing "an internal study on climate science which was suppressed by the Environmental Protection Agency."
In the release, the institute's Richard Morrison said "internal EPA e-mail messages, released by CEI earlier in the week, indicate that the report was kept under wraps and its author silenced because of pressure to support the administration's agenda of regulating carbon dioxide."
Let's be clear: "Regulating carbon dioxide" in fact means "taxing carbon dioxide", either directly, or through tacking additional costs on to just about everything each of us consumes by way of trade in "carbon credits". Of course, such trade will be almost entirely through "brokerages", generating billions annually in transactions with the prerequisite percentage fees incurred.
There we have it, people! The pressures on government from lobbies, both by business and the leaf-licking crowd, are enormous, and for the same reason: Money, be it via profits or hand outs from the eternally bottomless pockets of the nanny state. And piled on top of all this are the demands for action to save the planet by electorates worldwide who have been systematically brainwashed into believing this bullshit by unceasing hype, by both business (who, it is worth mentioning, own most of the world's so-called "news" media), and well funded (in large part by business) organizations of tree-huggers, granola crunchers, professional protesters, and wanna-be "scientists", all mostly looking to justify their own otherwise sorry-ass existences.
If one actually thinks this has anything whatsoever to do with saving the environment, excuse me for being blunt, but their next damned clue about this world will be their first!!!
Note the little chart on the bottom of that page...

Allow me to help make this even more clear...
If "greenhouse gases" make up 2% of the atmosphere, and 3.62% of those gases is CO2, and human activities are responsible for 3.4% of that CO2...
Then man made CO2 constitutes a whopping 0.0025% of the atmosphere.
Basically, this means one single half decent Mt. St. Helens class volcanic eruption cranks more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than the entire human race can manage in any given year. Or, IOW, if you're really that hung up about CO2 emissions, I'd suggest you put in more time dancing and chanting ooga-boogas on your rooftop to appease Pelee, the Great and All Powerful God of Volcanoes, and less time fretting about how much to spend on carbon offsets next time you fly to Hawaii. At worst, you'll accomplish about as much good, and at best you'll at least get yourself some exercise.
Oh, yeah...and if Canadians are responsible for 2% of man-made CO2, that would equate to a choking 0.00005% worth of the earth's atmosphere.
Perspective-wise, fretting your lawn mower's CO2 output is about the equivalent of walking across your living room and tripping over a carelessly shed eyelash...and then wearing hiking boots indoors for the rest of your life for the sake of personal safety.
Can we say, "stupid, or what?"
