This has gone far enough! It's time for a Public Inquiry into the CBC...

I just did a search of the CBC's website looking for any information at all regarding what ultimately could turn out to be THE scandal of the 21st century. The key word I used was "Hadley", as it is virtually impossible to report this story without mentioning at least once the "Hadley Climate Research Unit".

Sorted by date, this is what came up.

Not one single mention. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Additionally, I have been scanning their website for days looking for coverage of this breaking story, and have found absolutely nothing.

If I did miss anything, it would have to be so inconsequential as to be irrelevant in any event.

This simply is, to say the very least, incomprehensible and beyond belief.

The taxpayers of Canada fork out no less than $1,000,000,000 each and every year to fund the CBC. We do this, we are told ad infinitum (and it's worth noting, primarily by the left wing) that we (Canadians) absolutely require a national broadcaster that is dedicated to preserving our Canadian identity by way of providing unbiased and complete informational news service in the national interest, as well as entertainment reflecting our unique culture.

From the very beginning of the debate...and I use this term in the very loosest sense of the word, because balanced debate has been literally non-existent from the onset...over global warming/climate change, the CBC has been front and center in presenting every sordid and shrill proclamation of doom, and a plethora of authoritative "experts" to assure every Canadian that this is just simply so.

However...

Last Friday, albeit it by questionable means, inside information acquired from the computer files of the Hadley Climate Research Unit, a group of scientists central to the proposition of a global climate crisis, was released for public consumption. Since that moment a literal storm of controversy has been raging worldwide, primarily via the Internet, but reported as well by major news services such as Fox, UK Telegraph, The Australian, The National Post, etc.

Commentary by journalists, bloggists, and including most notably climate scientists/experts, has used descriptors such as "collusion", "manipulation", "cover-up", and even "conspiracy", with regard to the revelations contained within these exposed files. In the very least, the actual credibility of the science, its peer review process, and its dissemination into the public realm...most notably through the IPCC...has been called into serious question.

To date quite literally tens of billions of dollars, much of it publicly funded worldwide, has been spent in one form or another in addressing this so-called climate crisis, predicated upon the premise that carbon dioxide is the culprit which they...climate scientists...assert is source of the problem.

Several weeks from now an international conference will convene in Copenhagen, Denmark, where the further allocation of anywhere from $100,000,000,000 to as much as $250,000,000,000 is the subject of redistribution of wealth from western developed nations to the rest of the world.

The implications, long and short term, and costs imposed by global public policy of the so-called "consensus" of scientific opinion are so astronomical in scope as to be virtually inconceivable to the average citizen...and that is probably understating the reality.

And for all of this...

The CBC remains completely silent on the matter of the leaked files. Not a single bloody word.

I want to know, and I believe every single Canadian has a right to know, especially considering that we foot the bill for the CBC's mandate, just exactly who within the corporation made the decision to effectively censor this ever so critically relevant and important subject from their news broadcasting? And I want to know exactly why!

And, God damn it, I want heads to roll!

PERIOD!!!
